Research Desk
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has launched a tender for the supply of solar photovoltaic modules totalling 2,100 MW for solar projects located in Fatehgarh and Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The successful bidder will deliver the modules to a specific location that will be communicated after the award. The deadline for bid submission is November 5, 2026.
What the Package Covers
The selected supplier will be responsible for manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of crystalline bifacial solar PV modules. The package also defines the DC capacity of the modules, the module types to be provided, and the locations where they must be delivered.
Cluster A Composition
Modules under Cluster A must meet ALMM List-I requirements covering both solar modules and solar cells. The cluster calls for a DC capacity of 390 MWp under block A-1 and 260 MWp under block A-2, with all supplied modules carrying ALMM List-I compliance.
In total, Cluster A modules are divided into seven capacity blocks of 260 MWp, 260 MWp, 260 MWp, 390 MWp, 260 MWp, 260 MWp and 390 MWp.
Who Can Bid
Participation is restricted to Class-I local suppliers, as defined in the bidding documents and under the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017.
Experience and Capacity Thresholds
Bidders must demonstrate a track record of having manufactured and supplied SPV modules or SPV cells with a cumulative capacity of at least 200 MWp within any consecutive 12-month period in the five years before the techno-commercial bid opening date. At least one of the supply orders counted toward this requirement must have been for 50 MWp or more.
The bidder must also hold a minimum annual manufacturing capacity for solar PV modules, expressed in MWp. A further qualification requires the bidder to have supplied solar PV modules or SPV cells with a cumulative capacity of at least 2.14 times its total quoted capacity in MWp within any consecutive 12-month period during the five years preceding the techno-commercial bid opening date.
As with the other criterion, at least one such order must have been for a capacity of 50 MWp or above.
Delivery Destinations
The modules for the 2,100 MW project will be delivered to Bikaner and Fatehgarh in Rajasthan. The exact delivery site will be notified to the winning bidder once the contract is awarded.
