SolarizEgypt Expands Solar Supply Deal With TITAN Egypt, Adding 10 MW at Beni Suef Cement Plant in Egypt

TITAN Egypt has signed an agreement with renewable energy provider SolarizEgypt to add 10 MW of solar power capacity at its Beni Suef cement plant.

The expansion is an extension of the power purchase agreement the two companies concluded in June 2026, and it raises the total planned capacity of the plant's solar project to 21.45 MW. SolarizEgypt, described as a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, specializes in solar power development and generation.

Annual generation projected at 43.2 GWh

When the expanded project is completed and commercially operational, it is expected to produce roughly 43.2 GWh of electricity each year.

The announcement states that this output will cover part of the Beni Suef plant's electricity requirements with renewable energy and will cut carbon emissions linked to the plant's electricity consumption.

Industrial sector focus for SolarizEgypt

Mohamed El Foly, Chief Commercial Officer of SolarizEgypt, expressed satisfaction at strengthening the partnership with TITAN Egypt and widening the scope of a project the company says shows how solar energy can serve the power needs of industry.

According to El Foly, the expansion reflects the mutual trust between the two companies and a growing recognition that renewable energy offers a practical route to better operational efficiency and progress on sustainability targets.

El Foly added that SolarizEgypt intends to build on the collaboration, drawing on its experience in solar project development to provide solutions designed for energy-intensive industries. He said the company hopes the project will stand as an example of how strategic partnerships can speed up clean energy adoption across Egypt.

TITAN Egypt ties expansion to competitiveness

Amr Reda, CEO of TITAN Egypt, called the expanded partnership "another important milestone" in the company's drive toward more sustainable operations and stronger energy efficiency.

He characterized investment in renewable energy as a key driver of competitiveness and "a practical way to reduce our carbon footprint, enabling us to sustain our growth amid the rapid changes shaping the industrial sector."

Reda noted that the expansion continues TITAN Egypt's existing sustainability investments and demonstrates its commitment to turning climate ambitions into concrete action. He added that it reinforces the company's support for the development and competitiveness of Egypt's industrial sector through advanced technologies and strategic partnerships that deliver lasting economic and environmental value.

Wider sustainability program at the company

The Beni Suef solar expansion forms part of TITAN Egypt's broader efforts to make its industrial operations more sustainable and to improve energy and resource efficiency.

The company is pursuing this agenda by raising its use of renewable energy and alternative fuels, improving operational efficiency, and developing lower-carbon cement products. These initiatives sit within the wider TITAN Group strategy, which emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and long-term business competitiveness.

Alignment with national renewable energy targets

According to the announcement, the expansion also backs Egypt's efforts to raise the share of renewable energy in the national energy mix and to strengthen the competitiveness of the country's industrial sector.

It is presented as an illustration of the role private-sector investment can play in advancing the transition toward more sustainable manufacturing and in improving the standing of Egyptian industry in regional and international markets.
