ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar power capacity at its hybrid renewable energy project in Kelan Village, Bikaner, Rajasthan, through its subsidiary ACME Renewtech Private Limited.
ACME Solar Hybrid Project Reaches 200.04 MW Operational Capacity
The latest addition takes the project's operational capacity to 200.04 MW, while the company's overall operational capacity has increased to approximately 3,190 MW.
The newly commissioned capacity achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on November 4, 2026. The hybrid project integrates solar and wind generation to diversify electricity production and support a more consistent supply of renewable power.
Solar Component Development Progresses at Rajasthan Site
The latest commissioning is part of the project's planned 300 MW solar component. ACME Solar intends to bring the remaining solar capacity online progressively, with full commissioning targeted by the end of the third quarter of fiscal year 2027.
The company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for electricity generated by the project at a tariff of USD 0.0354 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The agreement provides a long-term contractual arrangement for the sale of power from the facility.
By combining wind and solar generation, the project is designed to diversify its renewable energy output and contribute to a more flexible electricity supply.
Company Expands Its Renewable Energy Portfolio
ACME Solar's contracted portfolio currently stands at 8,370 MW, encompassing solar, wind, hybrid renewable energy, energy storage, and Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects.
The company also has 5.64 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity, complementing its renewable generation assets and supporting its focus on reliable power supply.
The latest commissioning adds to ACME Solar's expanding operational base as it continues to develop projects across multiple renewable energy technologies in India.
Integrated EPC and O&M Capabilities Support Expansion
ACME Solar manages its projects through an integrated business model that includes in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), along with operations and maintenance (O&M) capabilities. These functions support project execution, cost management, and the ongoing performance of its renewable energy assets.
The addition of 66.68 MW at the Rajasthan hybrid project marks further progress in the company's capacity expansion strategy and strengthens its operational renewable energy portfolio.
