Current Infraprojects Limited has secured a USD 0.42 million contract from the Border Security Force to install 25 kWp off-grid solar power plants at 13 Border Outposts across Gujarat.
The Jaipur-based solar infrastructure company announced the Letter of Award on October 16, 2026. Beyond the solar installations, the scope of work includes testing and commissioning of the plants as well as the construction of RCC-framed battery rooms at the sites.
Execution Timeline Under FTR HQ BSF Gujarat
The project falls under FTR HQ BSF Gujarat and is scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.
CIPL has been given 12 months from the date of the Letter of Award to complete the work, which involves installation, testing, and commissioning of the off-grid systems.
Order Adds to Existing Barmer Assignment
The new award follows an earlier USD 0.51 million BSF order covering 16 border outposts in Barmer. According to the company, holding both projects allows it to share site-level fixed expenses, improve operational efficiency, and support better margins.
CIPL said the contract strengthens its FY27 order book and widens its footprint in government-led solar EPC projects. The company added that the assignments reinforce its commitment to expanding clean energy access in remote areas while backing critical infrastructure for India's Armed Forces.
Chairman on Clean Energy at Strategic Locations
Sunil Singh Gangwar, Chairman and Managing Director of Current Infraprojects Limited, said the BSF order is an important addition to the company's solar EPC portfolio and strengthens its participation in government-led renewable energy projects. He noted that installing off-grid solar plants across 13 border outposts in Gujarat reflects the growing role of clean energy in remote and strategically significant locations.
Gangwar said the company remains committed to expanding its solar infrastructure capabilities, delivering projects with a focus on quality and execution, and building long-term relationships with government and institutional clients. He added that the project offers an opportunity to contribute to infrastructure development for the Armed Forces while advancing growth in India's renewable energy sector.
